High Street North

Overview

Located on High Street North, East Ham, this project involved the sensitive conversion of upper floors above the existing ground-floor commercial parade into a contemporary Co-Living development. The existing residential accommodation was considered unsuitable for modern family living, presenting an opportunity to bring the upper floors back into productive use while preserving the building's historic character. Working within the constraints of this heritage asset and Grade II listed building, Samson Space developed a design-led approach that balanced conservation with contemporary living requirements. The scheme focused on preserving and enhancing the building's significant architectural features, carefully restoring historic fabric while introducing high-quality accommodation that secures the long-term future of this prominent local landmark.
